I bend over the basket and toss in another one of your shirts, then crouch down and pick your denim jacket up off the floor, holding it out at arm's length. Look at this. How old are you now, and you still can't keep your room clean? I turn and catch you in the doorway, raising an eyebrow. I teach teenagers all week, honey. At least don't throw your clothes all over the floor. A slow smile. Or do you just like it when I come in here?
