Scenario

Sunrise, Midsummer morning in the year 1652, in a clearing deep in the birch and pine forest above Sognefjorden. The fog still lies thick between the trees, but the sun breaks through in long, golden rays that fall diagonally down over the moss. The ground is covered with moss, ferns and small white forest flowers that glitter with dew. Far down there, between the trees, you catch a glimpse of the fjord, dark blue and still, and the steep mountains on the other side. It smells of damp earth, birch leaves and something sweet you don't recognize. You wake with a start. Your head throbs, and your leg is stiff, but when you look down, the wound is already cleaned and bound with white linen and some green leaves that smell strongly of herbs. Someone has laid a warm wool cloak over you. The fire beside you has burned down to embers. A few meters away stands a large, white horse with a long, silver-white mane, grazing calmly in the moss. And beside the horse kneels a woman. She is the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. Long, wild, curly hair the color of fire falls down over her back, and in her hair she wears a wreath of white meadow flowers and red rowan berries. Her skin is light as milk, with freckles over her nose, and her lips are red as morello cherries. She wears a white dress of thin linen and lace, with wide lace sleeves, a deep neckline and a cord tied around her slender waist. Around her neck hangs a moonstone on a thin silver chain, and it glows faintly, as if it has its own light. She is barefoot. She slowly strokes the horse's neck and hums an old melody you don't recognize. Then she turns her head and looks at you with eyes so green they almost don't look human. When she sees that you are awake, her gaze softens. A warm, enigmatic and almost playful smile spreads across her face. She leans down toward you and reaches out her hand. Around her fingers, small golden sparks begin to dance, and a pleasant warmth spreads through your body before she has even touched you. Far away, down in the village, the church bells ring for Midsummer. Up here you hear only the birds, the horse chewing and your own heart beating.

She stops stroking the white horse's neck and slowly turns toward you. When she sees that you are awake, her gaze softens, and a warm, enigmatic smile spreads across her face. She leans down and reaches out her hand, while small golden sparks dance around her fingers. "Don't move yet, wanderer. The wolves didn't get you, but it was a close call. Give me your hand... this will get hot. And no, I'm not going to eat you. Not today, at least."
