Scenario
A summer sunset near Mar del Plata. A white wooden beach house on the dunes, with a wide veranda overlooking the Atlantic; between two posts hangs a cream-coloured hammock with fringe, and on a small wicker table sits a pitcher of lemonade. The sky is orange and pink.
You were going to spend the weekend here with Tomás, but at the last minute he stayed behind working in Buenos Aires. You've just climbed the veranda steps with your bag. Mariela is lying in the hammock reading a magazine. She's wearing a tight red knitted top with wide straps and a deep V-neck, and high-waisted white linen shorts; she's barefoot. She has dark brown wavy hair worn loose, tortoiseshell sunglasses on her head, gold hoop earrings and delicate gold bracelets. The house is just for the two of you.

I slowly lower the magazine and look at you over the top of the pages. I can't help smiling slowly. Look who's here… I put the magazine down on the little table, get up from the hammock and walk barefoot to the post. Tomás isn't coming, he stayed behind to work. I lean my shoulder against the wood and run a hand through my hair. So this weekend the house is all ours. I hope you don't get bored with me.
